What to Expect

What should I Expect?

At ChiroCare, we feel it is critical to take the time to listen, understand and thoroughly investigate your complaint. At your first chiropractic visit, which usually lasts 60 minutes or more, this is what you can expect:

In preparation for the consultation with us, you will be asked to fill out some basic forms that will provide us with background information about your symptoms and conditions. We will then perform a detailed consultation on the history of your current complaint. We’ll ask you how and when the pain started, what it feels like, where it is located and what activities makes it better or worse. We’ll detail other relevant health information, too, such as your family medical history, social history, and any pre-existing medical conditions.

We will then perform a thorough chiropractic examination that includes general, neurological and orthopedic tests to assess the range of motion, muscle tone, strength, and neurological integrity of the affected regions. Our examination will also test specific movements and use soft tissue and joint palpation to determine the cause of your complaint.

Once all the information is gathered and a diagnosis is made, we will take the time to sit down with you to fully our findings. We’ll outline your treatment options with clarity. As soon as you give us your consent to be treated, we’ll carefully discuss with you our suggested treatment plan, including its goals and expectations.
